SUNDAYS AT
VILLAS, PALACES and CASTLES

It was in 2018 that thirteen owners of private historical residences located in and around the Bergamo region decided to collaborate together for a series of joint ventures. We decided to open up our family- and privately-owned homes to the public for guided tours on Sundays during the months of April and May, heralding the introduction of the “Sunday Visits at Villas, Palaces and Castles” initiative. Our numbers have increased since 2022, when we decided to include some residences from neighbouring provinces. There are now twenty in total: sixteen in the Bergamo area, two around Brescia and two in Crema. After the resounding success of the previous years, 2024 sees the advent of our seventh anniversary! We will be proposing a rich calendar of events, organising visits on twelve separate Sundays between the months of April, May, September and October. We are keen to promote and raise awareness of the wonderful secret treasures that our area has to offer.We will also be opening our doors and continuing our collaboration with the annual “Maestri del Paesaggio” (Masters of Landscape) project in September. All guided tours will all be by appointment only. In the majority of cases, it will be the owners themselves who will accompany you on a visit that will take you back in time to discover the history of the many generations who have dwelled in their homes.For the complete programme of events held in 2024, please consult the CALENDAR OF OPEN DAYS page of this website.
